Privacy policy

LabBee does not collect, transmit or store any personal data. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What LabBee stores, and where

Your timers, protocols, calculator entries, counts and any plate images you mark up are saved in the app’s own storage on your device, using the standard iOS app container. They are not sent anywhere. We cannot see them.

If you have iCloud device backup switched on, iOS may include the app’s container in your own encrypted backup. That is a function of iOS and your Apple account, not of LabBee, and the developer has no access to it.

Camera and photo library

The colony counter and the cell counter can work from a photograph. When you open one of those tools, iOS may ask for permission to use the camera or your photo library.

• Images are read only when you choose them, and are processed entirely on the device.
• No image is uploaded, transmitted or shared with anyone unless you deliberately export it yourself using the iOS share sheet.
• Both permissions are optional. If you decline them, timers, protocols and all fifteen tools continue to work.

Notifications

LabBee asks for notification permission so a timer can alarm while the app is closed. Notifications are scheduled locally with iOS, on your device. There is no push server, no remote notification and no device token sent anywhere. If you decline, timers still run and still display; they simply cannot sound an alarm in the background, and the app tells you so on the timer card.

What LabBee does not do

• No analytics or usage tracking of any kind.
• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No crash-reporting service.
• No third-party SDK that collects data.
• No accounts, no sign-in, no profiles.
• No selling or sharing of data. There is nothing collected to sell.

This is what the App Store privacy label means when it reads Data Not Collected.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its container and everything in it. There is no server-side copy to request, and no account to close. Individual timers, protocols and counts can also be deleted inside the app at any time.

Children

LabBee is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages, but it is a tool for laboratory work rather than a product aimed at children. Because no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either.

This website

labbee.app serves static pages only. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts, which is why you were never asked to accept anything. If you email the address below, that email is of course visible to the developer, and is used only to answer you.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a future version of LabBee ever collects anything, that will be stated here before the feature ships, and it will be optional.
