For labs / Members

Members

Who is in the lab, what they may do and what they are trained on.

The roster shows every member with their role, position, join date and a coarse last seen indicator, deliberately a bucket rather than a timestamp, because colleagues are not surveillance subjects. Each member page collects their open tasks, equipment training and membership history.

Invites go out by email link and lock to the invited address. Removing someone is handled properly: the module lists what would be orphaned, their open tasks, future bookings and instrument access, and applies your decisions in one step.

Roles kept simple

Admin and member, plus one owner. No permission matrix to administrate.

Training records

Instrument sign offs with optional expiry live on the person and gate the calendar.

Safe removal

Open tasks, future bookings and access rights are surfaced and resolved at removal, not discovered later.

Invites that behave

One live invite per address, single use, and a forwarded link cannot be redeemed by someone else.

How it works

  1. Invite teammates by email.
  2. Set roles and record instrument training.
  3. The roster and each member page stay current by themselves.

Who is this for?

Research groups that want their shared daily life, from stock to instruments to meetings, in one place every member can see.

Frequently asked questions

What roles exist?

Admin and member, plus a single owner. Simple on purpose; there is no permission matrix to babysit.

What happens when someone leaves?

Their open tasks, future bookings and instrument access are listed at removal and resolved in one step.

Is it free?

Yes. LabBee is in beta and every module is free. If paid plans ever arrive, we will say so clearly ahead of time.

How do we start?

One person creates an account and the lab, then invites everyone else by email. Roles work out of the box.

Who can see our data?

Only your lab's members. Every lab page checks membership on every request.
