The lab's methods, written as steps you can actually run.
Protocols in LabBee are step lists with optional per step durations, not walls of text. At the bench they turn into a tickable checklist, so mid protocol interruptions stop costing you your place.
Editing creates a version snapshot automatically, and forking keeps lineage: a fork remembers which protocol and which version it came from, and warns when the original has moved on since. That link is what paper copies and copied documents always lose.
